A GSM, text alarm messaging unit that is suitable for most commercial and domestic applications.

SMShield Lite is probably the most versatile and configurable alarm / signalling unit available today. SMShield Lite is used all over the world to monitor everything from house alarms to water levels and temperatures.

This could simply be a door opening, PIR activating, alarm bell ringing, garden gate opened, almost anything.

When used as an alarm reporter, you may not want this activity being sent all of the time, so we have programmed SMShieldLite to only send messages when your alarm is SET. Usually this can be found easily on your panel. That way spurious and erratic messages will not be sent, only when they matter. I.E. When you're out!

That said, if you have an out building that you would like to be monitored, whatever the state of your alarm unit, SMShieldLite can do that as well, reporting intrusion any time of the day.

Please note that this product requires an Aerial and a SIM card on a network of your choice. Pay as you Go SIM cards are available from most mobile phone shops and cost between ?10 and ?15.

A minimum installation of this unit would require only one input sensor for example a contact switch, a SIM card and an aerial. The contact switch can be wired directly to the unit without the optional customer interface unit that is available to make installation of multiple sensors and output devices easier. The Alarm can then be set and unset via text message.

Activation of the contact switch would trigger the unit to send a text message to the three nominated numbers and make a call to the fourth.
