For total peace of mind when leaving your house unattended, upgrade your alarm and fit a dialler. The Digicom AV can be fitted to any security control panel. In the event of an alarm activation it will dial a pre-programmed telephone number and report. If programmed to do so, the unit also allows the person dialled (whether it be a 24 hour monitoring station or a key holder on their private telephone or mobile) to listen in at the property where the alarm has occurred. The person can then verify whether the alarm is genuine or false. The system utilises microphones and speaker/microphones to allow the person dialled to listen to the property and if necessary, talk to challenge a would-be intruder. The unit can be programmed to dial any telephone number, using the AV programming adaptor (not included) that connects the unit to a standard tone dial telephone. Simply follow the programming instructions in the technical manual supplied or we can pre-program the unit for you with the telephone numbers of your choice. For DIY installation you will need to have a reasonable understanding of electrical wiring. A typical installation requires three sets of wires to be connected to the Digicom. 1.The wire from the alarm carries the power to the Digicom and the alarm bell trigger wire. 2.The wire to the speaker / microphone. 3.The connection to the telephone line. If you are unsure about installing this product please arrange for professional installation or contact us for advice.
