| Notes
(1) Devices containing a GPS module allow the key holder (you)
to accurately track the asset you have installed the device to.
In some units this is achieved by receiving the latitude and longitude
coordinates via a text message. These coordinates can then be entered
into mapping software if supplied with the unit or entered into
a web-based application for example www.streetmap.co.uk
(2) Units without GPS can still have their approximate position
determined by their cell location. This is not as accurate GPS and
the location tends to be accurate in the order of miles rather than
meters. Some units will do the query themselves as mentioned above
though this is often done using a third party company for example
www.mstlocate.com or
www.traceamobile.com and there is normally a charge for this
type of service.
N.B. Cost for query is network dependant and is charged to your
SIM account. Approximate cost £0.50.
(3) Units containing sensors or supplied with sensors can be used
as a stand-alone unit and require little wiring. This makes them
ideal for your motor home, office, garage, barn, or outbuilding
etc.
(4) Units with GSM do no require a phone line or mains power. This
makes them suitable for Motorcycles, Bikes, Cars, Houses, Boats,
Yachts, even caravans and garage lockups. A GSM Phone Alarm generally
works by messaging you on your phone to notify you that a sensor
is being triggered.
Are you looking for a remote SMS alarm, text alarm, GSM text alarm,
GSM alerting device or SMS alert unit that sends you a text message
to your mobile phone telling you when an alarm is triggered? Then
upgrade your home alarm, vehicle car alarm, caravan alarm, garage
alarm, bike alarm or boat alarm now with a solution from Microactive
and start SMS text monitoring. |
